Happy birthday Harry Potter & Tag

If you aren't already aware, I'm a huge Potterhead. With that being said, when it was time for my first pay check to come around, I instantly made some unregrettable purchases to add to my collection. It just so happens that it was Harry Potter and Jo Rowling's birthday. Yes, you heard correctly too! My first pay check!
How super cute are they? They're called Pop! Vinyl. I got mine at EB Games but I'm sure you could find them easily online. There's actually Snape and Hagrid ones to collect too but I thought I would start with the Golden Trio.  There are also ones with Harry in his Quidditch uniform, but there are hundreds of collectables ranging from your favourite TV show to book.

I also thought that in honour of this special day, I would do the Harry Potter tag since Harry's world is so important to me and is basically what I named my blog after. I hope you enjoy reading it! Feel free to answer the questions yourself and let me know so I can read your answers! Note, if you haven’t read Harry Potter, don’t read as there are spoilers.

The Harry Potter Tag Questions

Favourite book ?

My favourite book would either have to be Deathly Hallows or the Half Blood Prince. I just remember being so excited and at the edge of my seat reading them both and the plot twist was so captivating!

Favourite movie?
This is a hard one to answer, my favourite movie would probably be Deathly Hallows Part 2. I thought it was such an amazing finish to the series and I love how the used music from The Philosophers Stone which made it so nostalgic.

Least favourite book?
The Order of Phoenix. I’m not sure if it is my complete hate for Umbridge or the fact Sirius dies or how angry Harry is through the book.

Parts of the books/movies that made you cry?
Hedwig’s death in the books, Fred’s death in the movie and the end of The Deathly Hallows Part 2 Movie because I felt so nostalgic.

Favourite character?

There are so many characters that I love and have such amazing traits and strengths. My favourite would probably be, Luna Lovegood because she’s intelligent and doesn’t mind what people think about her which is something I need to learn. I love how Jo Rowling made the females in Harry Potter such brave and clever characters such as Prof. McGonagall, Mrs Weasley and Hermione.

What would your Patronus be?
I think mine would be a cat or an owl.

What would your Boggart be?
This is such a difficult question. I really don’t know what I’m most terrified of. I’m a perfectionist and even though I know there’s no such thing as perfection, I think just complete failure and being far from it. I’m also scared of dying but not of death if that makes sense. I’m frightened of the process, (Does it hurt? What’s it like?) but not of actual death because ‘death is but the next great adventure’.

If you could have the Resurrection Stone, Invisibility Cloak or the Elder Wand which one would you choose?
I can’t really choose between the Invisibility Cloak or the Resurrection Stone. I’d love to be Invisible and just people watch but at the same time, being able to talk to people who have passed would be such good guidance. I think I’d probably choose the Invisibility Cloak though.

Elder Wand: Who survived that you wanted to kill?
Definitely Umbridge. She’s the reason I could barley make it through the fifth book. She was basically all of my most hated traits in one person coated with sugar. Actually, I’d want her to receive the dementors kiss. Nasty, horrible and pure evil.

Resurrection Stone: Which death do you want to undo?
Either Sirius or Fred. I felt like Sirius and Harry lived off each other and it shows how unfair life can be. Sirius was so innocent and cared so much for Harry but ended up locked in Azkaban for 12 years. Fred because I feel like Mrs Weasley had so many children and although she was a great mother, she must have payed so much attention to Percy because he was a ‘model’ child during his time at Hogwarts. I felt like Fred and George misbehaved partly because they wanted more attention so they strived off each other and gave each other strength.

Cloak of Invisibility: Which character would you want to erase from the books?
Hmm… this is hard too. Every character symbolises something important. I think I would erase Kreacher just because of his bad temper and how I want all house elves to be like Dobby.

What House would you be in?
I think I’d either be a Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. I think the hat would ask me to choose between these to. I think I’m brave at heart and courageous but I also love learning and see things quite logically.

If you could meet any member of the cast who would it be?
I’d love to meet Rupert Grint and Tom Felton. I love how normal Rupert is and how fame hasn’t gone to his head at all. I mean he used his money to buy a ice cream van and hands out free ice cream. My friend met Tom and said he was really nice, he seems really funny in his interviews too and I love people that can make me laugh.

If you were on the Quidditch team which position would you play?
I think I would be a chaser. In my junior years of playing netball I played a ‘similar’ position to a chaser.

What character would you like to date/marry?
Hmm this is a tough one. Either Cedric Diggory because he seemed like a modest guy, especially when his father was boasting about him defeating Harry or Ron Weasley because he’s funny and by the end of the series we really saw how much potential he had to be an amazing wizard.

What is you favourite spell?
The Patronus charm because I’d love my patronus to just sit by me and keep me company.

What would your job be in the magical world?
I’d like to be a journalist for the Daily Prophet or a Quidditch pla.

Were you happy with the ending?
Definitely. I thought Jo was an absolute genius and I remember when I finished I just sat there for a good few minutes in awe. I actually think it was perfect and couldn’t be happier. It sort of confuses me now when Jo says she regrets not putting Harry and Hermione together. I must say, I wasn’t too happy with one small detail in the ending of the movie. Harry didn’t use the elder wand to repair his own wand before destroying it but I think that’s just me being picky.

How much does Harry Potter mean to you?
Harry Potter is my childhood. It’s what kept me company as a child and gave me hope. I learnt through the characters how to be a better person and how to deal with difficult situations in life. I love how Jo Rowling said ‘Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.’ When ever I pick up a book I read a while ago, it transports me to that time when I read it and I know Harry Potter will do the same.

I hope you enjoyed reading this tag. It was fun to make so I might do some other tags some other time. I can’t wait to read your answers.
